Stiliana Alexieva

Stiliana's art is inspired by the many changeable moods of the skies and weather of the British and Scottish coast. It has facets of the British character that fascinate her. This contrasts with continental weather of her homeland. It stirs her imagination with its drama, peace and serenity.

Stiliana's most recent work is created upon sheets of raw aluminium. The metallic surface allows her to explore effects of foreground and background.

From an early age Stiliana was tutored by her father Jordan Alexiev the accomplished Bulgarian figurative artist and sculptor. At university she studied print making, computer design and television.
