Sakko

Sakko resides and works in London, where he is celebrated for his internationally acclaimed landscapes and cityscapes. He masterfully uses oils and acrylics, applying the paint directly onto the reverse side of perspex. This technique ensures that when the artwork is viewed from the front, it retains the surface’s natural clarity and luminescence.

Sakko’s paintings are a distinctive fusion of his Middle Eastern childhood memories and contemporary interpretations of the London he now calls home. His palette, rich in deep blues and golds, evokes the shimmering allure of ancient illuminated manuscripts that have long fascinated him. Meanwhile, his loose, impressionistic style and expressive depictions of skies convey the energy and drama of modern urban life. This striking blend of the ancient and the modern—both in theme and technique—imbues Sakko’s work with a timeless and evocative quality.

His work is widely collected across Europe and has been featured in numerous solo exhibitions.
