Lisa Graa Jensen RI is a Danish-born British painter and illustrator whose colourful, distinctive work takes inspiration from everyday life, landscape and the natural world. People and animals frequently inhabit her compositions, which combine close observation with a playful and highly individual sense of colour and pattern.

Her subjects range from rural landscapes, farms and coastal scenes to gardens, allotments and domestic life. Time spent living in a French farming village and aboard a canal boat in Warwickshire has provided recurring inspiration, alongside the landscape and everyday activity around her current home in Wimbledon.

Graa Jensen studied Graphic Design and Book Illustration at Camberwell School of Art before establishing a successful career as an illustrator, working for clients including the Radio Times, BBC Publications and Puffin Books.

She was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours in 1996 and has received numerous awards for her painting and illustration.
