Gail Pope has been a professional artist for over 15 years, exhibiting her work throughout the UK and with pieces held in private collections worldwide. Her art is primarily focused on acrylics, with colour being the central influence in her work. Her mastery of tonal harmony, and occasionally daring colour clashes, gives her paintings their distinctive vibrancy. Gail often goes beyond traditional methods, incorporating sponges, palette knives, tissues, gold leaf, pen and ink, and even her own fingers to create texture and depth. 

Initially known for still life, particularly florals, her portfolio has grown to include landscapes, seascapes, portraits, and abstract works. Her abstract pieces, in particular, showcase her love for creative freedom and the spontaneous nature of the artistic process. She allows her work to evolve naturally, often embracing ‘happy accidents’ along the way, while maintaining a careful focus on colour balance.
