Catriona Macdonald MacEachen
Catriona Macdonald MacEachen lives in Fife and works as a freelance artist specialising in Scottish land and seascapes.
Art has been her passion for as long as she can remember and although mainly self-taught, she excelled in art at school and went on to specialise in art whilst undertaking an Education degree in Glasgow. The true freedom of expression experienced as a self-taught artist has allowed her to develop her own unique style which is a clear personal reflection of how she perceives the beauty of the world around her and her place in it.
Catriona's work is influenced primarily by her love of nature. The intense colours, perpetually changing light, perfect forms and dramatic land and seascapes of Scotland are a constant source of fascination and inspiration. She uses a variety of media depending on the mood or atmosphere she wishes to convey. She often chooses to work in acrylic to fully capture the vivid hues of a dramatic East Coast sunrise or Hebridean sunset.
Catriona exhibits widely in galleries throughout Scotland and her artwork is growing increasingly popular. She has many pieces in private collections both in the UK and abroad.
