Annie Rouse is a London-based painter working primarily in oil and mixed media. She studied Fine Art Painting at Central Saint Martins and is currently based at Wimbledon Art Studios.

Her practice centres on the domestic and the familiar, drawing from everyday subjects such as interiors, crockery and flowers. These motifs are not treated as still life in a traditional sense, but as a means of exploring the relationship between drawing and paint. Rouse works with a loose, gestural language, allowing the physical behaviour of oil paint to shape the image as much as observation.

Her paintings often occupy a space between structure and spontaneity, where forms emerge, shift and partially dissolve within the surface. Working at varying scales, she maintains a sensitivity to composition while retaining an openness that resists over-resolution.

Rouse has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, including presentations at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and Mall Galleries in London.
