Annie Boisseau RBA

Annie Boisseau RBA is a British landscape painter whose atmospheric, semi-abstract paintings explore the relationship between place, memory and experience. Her work is particularly concerned with the shifting effects of light, weather and the changing seasons.

Working from direct observation, Boisseau regularly draws and paints in the Surrey countryside and along the Sussex coast. These studies become a starting point for paintings developed in the studio, where memory and observation are gradually simplified and transformed.

Born in London, Boisseau studied at Goldsmiths College of Art before completing a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Exeter College of Art and Design. She was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 2018 and exhibits regularly at the Mall Galleries in London.

Her awards include the Michael Harding Award for Painting and The Artist Magazine Award.
