This natural beauty frequently appears in her compositions, reflecting her deep connection to her environment.

Anita specialises in oil painting and traditional printmaking techniques, including linocut, drypoint, mezzotint and serigraphy. Her artistic journey is rooted in a love of drawing, which is evident in the detailed and expressive sketches found throughout her sketchbooks. British wildlife and farm animals, such as hares, sheep, cattle, and chickens, are recurring subjects in her work, capturing the essence of rural life.

Driven by a personal admiration and respect for living things, Anita aims to create artworks that transcend the ordinary, infusing her subjects with a sense of vitality and spirit. Her goal is to elevate these creatures from everyday encounters to something extraordinary, allowing viewers to share in the joy and wonder she experiences while creating.

Anita Saunders' art is a celebration of life and nature, inviting viewers to appreciate the beauty and vibrancy of the natural world through her eyes.
