Andrew Hazelden

Andrew studied ceramics at Epsom School of Art and Design. He worked with Alan Caiger-Smith at Aldermaston Pottery from 1984, where he learned the technique of tin glazed earthenware and reduction fired lustre. He became an independent potter in 1993.

Andrew uses Fremington, a red earthenware clay from North Devon. He paints his designs with oxides onto the tin glaze in the Maiolica tradition.
