'Love Woodstock' is an artwork that embodies the essence of this charming town. The design features motifs and muted colours that evoke the rich history, topography, and minutiae that contribute to its allure. With Blenheim Palace at its core, the village is inundated with interesting architectural features, shops and pubs, and sketches of the neighbouring city of Oxford. The artwork's vibrant palette and maps are complemented by the delicate neutral tones seen while strolling through the local streets.
The design incorporates various elements such as butterflies, clock, paintings, flowers, ceiling decorations, and plaster corbels from Blenheim. Furthermore, it features the crests, street names, maps, and histories of Oxford, Woodstock's crest from the town hall, and ancient maps of nearby villages. The white love hearts recount the history of Woodstock, while the ironwork and spires of Oxford are also included. Doors from 'The Bear' and 'The Feathers,' along with attractive doorways from around town, are also featured. The artwork also depicts Woodstock town hall, war memorial, Winston Churchill on his horse, and plants like sage, rosemary, and lavender. The piece even includes the champagne bucket, cocktail, cups sculpture, local shop signs, elephant, patterns, folded fabrics, two stone lions from the town centre, and a pair of wellies essential for exploring the stunning grounds of Blenheim Palace. Two Union Jacks are also visible, adding to the overall essence of this artwork which depicts a quintessential Cotswolds town.
