Based in Northumberland and originally from Spain, Maria Santos-Alcantara is known for her exquisite creations using a combination of enamels, veneers, semi-precious stones and glass. 

Maria’s creations are unique, as no two pieces are exactly alike. Using casting and pressing techniques, she works on each item individually, drawing from her own intricate designs. 

Much of Maria’s inspiration is drawn from the natural world. The flexibility of pewter allows her to recreate the beauty of nature, capturing the essence of flora and fauna. The enduring quality of pewter, which does not oxidise, means that her creations require minimal care, needing only an occasional dusting to maintain their lustre.
