Lizzie Wheeler
Lizzie Wheeler is a British printmaker based in Oxford whose practice is grounded in a strong understanding of traditional printmaking and a sensitive, process-led approach.
Her work draws on the natural world, capturing animals, plants, and landscapes through stylised compositions and a refined use of line and colour. Pattern and surface play an important role, giving the prints a decorative strength while retaining a sense of quiet observation and stillness.
Working across a range of printmaking processes, Wheeler engages closely with the material qualities of the medium, allowing texture, layering, and mark-making to shape the final image.
Alongside her studio practice, she works as a printmaking technician at the Oxford Printmakers Co-operative. Her work has been exhibited widely and is held in private collections, valued for its balance of clarity, craftsmanship, and atmosphere.
