Jennifer Irvine

Jennifer Irvine studied painting at Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1978. She exhibits successfully throughout the UK. Her subject matter includes townscape, seascape and still life. She draws on the effects of sunlight on an object, be it on a building or on water.

Jennifer works from her studio in Glasgow and also spends as much time as possible painting in Argyll. In the last few years she has also spent time in France, Spain and Italy where she has found much of her subject matter.

Her work covers a broad spectrum from still life to seascape and townscape, increasingly with a strong emphasis on light, shade and pattern. She exhibits her work regularly in the Royal Glasgow Institute and Royal Scottish Watercolourists as well as numerous galleries throughout the UK. 

She was elected RGI in 2015 and RSW in 2016
