Studied alongside Michael James, and in the studio of one of Britain’s foremost figurative sculptors, Jonathan Wylder. His skill and potential were soon recognised and his own work quickly became collectable. He now has his own studio in the Peak District. His initial interest was in the figurative form; however his love of nature combined with the natural surroundings of the Derbyshire countryside where he lives and works have resulted in his progression to British wildlife, and particularly birds.

Carl approaches traditional subjects from an innovative angle. His imaginative treatment is shown through creative lines and distinctive patinations. All his works are limited editions. “I wish only to capture the simple essence and movement of the beautiful”.
