Her paintings develop through close observation, repeated adjustment and careful consideration of the relationships between objects and the space surrounding them.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSpackman trained at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London before graduating from Camberwell School of Art in 1981. She works from a studio in Oxford, formerly used as a punt-building workshop, and has exhibited extensively throughout the UK and abroad.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eShe was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 2019 and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 2022.
