Sasha Larionova

Her work often reflects her love of her native St Petersburg, with its interesting roofs and courtyards. Her other love, of summer and flowers, also features in her paintings.

Sasha was born in St Petersburg on 28 December 1972. In 1985 she was accepted as a pupil at the Logansen School, the special art secondary school for children attached to the Academy of Fine Arts, St Petersburg. She completed her studies there in 1991 and was awarded the silver medal for her excellent work. She was accepted at the Academy of Fine Arts the same year and studied in the print making and graphics department. She graduated with honours in 1997.

She lives and works in St Petersburg as a freelance artist, her work being featured in many exhibitions there and abroad. She has also illustrated a number of very successful books.
