For Wileman, painting is an essential part of daily life, and his practice centres on the challenge of capturing the fleeting effects of light across landscape, sea and sky.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWorking predominantly in oils, his paintings are bold and vigorous in both their handling of paint and use of colour. He is particularly drawn to the shifting light of dawn and sunset, and to the reflections and movement found across rivers and the sea.
