Opera has become a particularly important source of inspiration, providing characters and situations through which she explores drama, identity and human relationships.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShe studied at Winchester School of Art and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp before completing her MA at the Royal College of Art in 1974, where she was awarded the Painting Prize.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSutton has exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition since the 1970s and has held numerous solo exhibitions in Britain and Italy.
