Elaine Marston

Inspired by water and cityscapes. Elaine is a full-time artist, with a studio just outside Brackley. Elaine's main inspiration is light and water, whether she is focusing on rainy cityscapes, London bridges, boats gently bobbing in a quiet harbour, geese or ducks gliding on the lake or children playing by the rolling sea. Elaine mainly work in oils and is inspired to capture light and reflections in paint, especially the beautiful, local scenes around Oxfordshire where she lives, inspired by the life of the local towns and architecture. Elaine has completed many commissions over the years including landscapes and portraits. She has been teaching adults and children how to draw and paint, in a variety of mediums, for the last 8 years from her studio, she enjoys helping to develop a student’s individual style and to see their confidence grow.
