Anna Shchegoleva

Anna has lived most of her life in Vladivostok which is a beautiful city on the far East of Russia, almost on the Chinese border.

Following her art training, she has had a successful career as a painter, keenly observing the ‘typical’ characters in the Russian way of life, but all with a keen sense of humour. Based on the rural idyll, homely farmers, allotment growers and couples at their dacha’s are keenly observed and captured in Anna’s paintings all with a glow of happiness in their situation.

Anna moved to St Petersburg in 2016 to be with her daughter Sasha who has inherited her mothers’ artistic talents and is studying at the St Petersburg Fine Art Academy.
