Ann Armstrong

Ann graduated with a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from the Glasgow School of Art in 1974.

Inspired by changing light and atmospheres encountered through travel, the subjects of her pastel, watercolour or oil paintings could be the grey subdued light of a Parisian street in winter, the blinding midday sun on the Nile, a brooding Scottish hillside shrouded by cloud, or the vibrant colours of Scotland's West Coast beaches.

Ann has participated in many group exhibitions including the Royal Scottish Society of Watercolour Artists, Royal Glasgow Institute, the Aspect Drawing Competition, Paisley Art Institute and the annual MacMillan Art Show. She also exhibits at numerous galleries both in the UK and abroad.
