Jeremy James

Jeremy James is an accomplished UK-based sculptor and printmaker with a distinguished career spanning over 35 years. His work, renowned both nationally and internationally, finds a place in many esteemed public and private collections across the globe.

With formal training in sculpture from Norwich, Exeter, and Cardiff, Jeremy's artistry primarily revolves around the themes of animals and humans, and the dynamic interactions between them. His sculptures are one-of-a-kind creations, meticulously hand-modelled from soft stoneware clay and brought to life in his ageing gas kiln through the high-firing process.

Recently, Jeremy has reignited his passion for printmaking, working primarily with linocuts to produce small, limited edition series that complement his sculptural pieces, all executed on a roller press.

Jeremy also shares his vast experience through teaching and lecturing at various educational institutions across the UK. He now dedicates himself to his practice full-time from his studio in Derbyshire.
