Jake Winkle

Jake was a finalist in the 2004 Daily Mail 'Not the Turner Prize' competition. In 2007 Jake's work was selected for the Royal Society of British Artists exhibition in London and from that time he has been contributing articles about his painting style for The Artist magazine. In 2009 he won the prestigious St. Cuthberts Mill Award for the best watercolour painting at the Society of Equestrian Artists annual exhibition in the Mall galleries, London.

Later that year Townhouse Films produced Jake's first DVD 'Watercolour from Dark to Light' and more recently he won the award for Best Painting In Show at the annual Marwell International Wildlife Art Society exhibition.

Inspired by light and movement Jake's paintings are reflections of the world around him. As well as exhibitions he has undertaken many fine art commissions for individuals and notable organisations including the National Trust.
